Rita completed her Senior High Secondary Education with impressive results in a small town where she grew up. Despite her aspirations to become a nurse, financial constraints prevented her from furthering her education. However, after successfully applying to the LIFO Outreach International program, Rita's fees, textbooks, and other educational expenses were covered, enabling her to enroll in a nursing school.

Rita is deeply appreciative of the mentorship program that guided her through the rigorous nursing curriculum. This support has motivated her to achieve her current success and aspire to work in rural healthcare settings, providing much-needed medical care to underserved communities.

Gladys Kukua: A Rising Star with a Heart for Service

Gladys began her educational journey in 2015. From an early age, she aspired to become a medical doctor to help the sick, particularly the vulnerable, the less privileged, the disabled, and others in need, with compassion and care. Her dream has served as a strong motivator, pushing her to study diligently.

Gladys is known for consistently displaying excellent behaviour toward her teachers, staff, and fellow students. Her academic achievements has earned her the top position in her class, and as a result, she has been promoted twice, making her one of the youngest students in her grade.

LiFO Outreach has recognized her dedication and appointed her as an Ambassador for LiFO 's supported children.

She advocates for following set plans to avoid procrastination and laziness. She believes in the importance of making conscious decisions to get adequate sleep, stay hydrated, and avoid junk or fast food.

Her advice to children everywhere is to cultivate the habit of hard work and to listen to the wise counsel of parents and teachers. She emphasises the importance of minimizing distractions such as excessive television watching, indiscipline, and peer pressure.

Gladys encourages all children to manage their expectations regarding maintenance, emphasizing that not all parents have the same level of resources. She believes that faith in the Lord provides the strength, courage, and confidence needed to succeed.

Gladys is committed to achieving her goal of becoming a medical professional, aspiring to offer exceptional care to those in need.

She is deeply grateful to God, her parents and LiFO Outreach for their encouragement and unwavering support, which has helped her reach this important milestone in her journey toward her dreams.
